What Can Therapy Explore?

Life can be beautiful, complex, and challenging. While I believe that humans are uniquely resourceful and resilient, we all need a safe space and some support at different stages of our journeys. If you’ve found your way to my site, it’s possible you’re at a point in your life where you’re considering whether you should invest in therapy as an additional support.

There are various things that therapy can help you to explore and work with, for instance:

  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety
  • Career planning and
    changes
  • Gender identity and
    expression
  • Adjusting to life
    changes
  • Sexuality and sexual
    orientation
  • Disabilities
  • Chronic illnesses
  • Neurodiversity
  • Stress management
  • Self-discovery and personal growth
  • Traumatic life experiences and their consequences
  • Kink/BDSM
  • Sexual difficulties
  • Depression or low mood
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Support for those with a loved one in the LGBTQIA+ community
  • Relationship orientation (monogamy, polyamory, swinging, relationship
    anarchy etc.)

My Approach to Therapy

Orange illustration of muscular man with a hearing aid

I believe each individual is unique and requires a tailored and considered approach. As a result, therapy length will typically vary from person to person depending on your needs and resources. However, I do have a preference for medium to long-term work, as therapy is unfortunately not a quick fix.

However, we choose to work, our relationship will be incredibly important, and I encourage you to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences about our relationship and our work together freely. In sessions I try to create a space that is safe, affirming, playful and that welcomes diversity and authenticity. I work with various LGBTQIA+ identities and practices, including diverse relationship structures. Follow the link below if you’d like to learn more about my approach.
