About Me
TL;DR Summary
I’m a clinical sexologist and counselling psychologist based in Johannesburg.
I’m passionate about gender, sexual and relationship diversity, and sexual health.
I enjoy working with unconventional relationships, practices and identities.
I have an academic background in politics and philosophy.
I spend a lot of time reading and expanding my knowledge base.
I spend far less time maintaining my herb garden.

I’m a clinical sexologist and counselling psychologist based in Johannesburg with my fur children, an ever-growing pile of books and a herb garden in constant need of revival.
I am passionate about helping a diverse range of people to cultivate kindness and curiosity in exploring their experiences, relationships, identities, bodies and sexualities. I also have a special interest working with unconventional relationships, practices and identities.
I have an academic background in politics and philosophy with a particular focus on critical feminist/queer/Foucauldian theory and research. This unique background means that I came to Psychology from a social justice context.
Because I am a card-carrying nerd, and because I believe it’s important to constantly update our skills and knowledges, I am currently a member of various reading groups and organisations aimed at promoting professional development. I am also passionate about education and advocacy when it comes to gender, sexual and relationship diversity, as well as other aspects of mental and sexual health.
My firm belief is that we need healthcare professionals who can engage with all the wonderfully unique parts of our clients in safe and affirming ways. Follow me on social media to find out what I’m up to, what I’m reading, and whether I have managed to keep my practice plant alive.
